Caramel apples (recipe)

Caramel apples

Ingredients

  • Apples
  • Caramel
  • A knife
  • A cutting board

What to do

  1. First, wash the apples thoroughly. Then, cut off the top of the apple, making sure to remove the stem. Next, use a knife to cut around the circumference of the apple, about ½ inch from the bottom. Be sure to cut through the skin and flesh of the apple, but not all the way through the bottom.
  2. Once you have cut around the apple, twist the top and bottom of the apple in opposite directions to separate the two halves. If the apple halves are stuck together, use the knife to loosen them.
  3. Next, spoon the caramel into the center of the apple halves. You can use store-bought caramel, or make your own by melting sugar in a saucepan over low heat. Once the caramel is in the center of the apple halves, put the two halves back together and twist to close.
  4. Finally, enjoy your delicious caramel apple!
