Classic cheesecake

There are few desserts as classic and delicious as cheesecake. This rich, creamy treat can be made in a variety of ways, but the most classic cheesecake is made with a graham cracker crust and a simple, yet delicious, cream cheese filling.

Ingredients:                                     

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs

What to do

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, flour, and vanilla extract, and beat until well blended. Add eggs and beat just until combined.
  4. Pour mixture into prepared crust.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, or until set.
  6. Allow to cool before serving. Enjoy!
