Korean rice balls
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of short-grain rice
- 1 cup of water
- 1 teaspoon of salt
What to do
- Rinse the rice in a fine mesh strainer and rinse under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a medium saucepan, bring the rice, water, and salt to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 18 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let it sit, covered, for an additional 5 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork, then transfer it to a large bowl.
- Wet your hands and form the rice into small balls.
- Serve with your favorite Korean sides.
